Hisotry of BTC

The Bowraville Technology Centre was established in 2001 as local residents came together to enhance the town’s connectivity. Limited transport, few home phones, and low digital access highlighted the need for change.

By 2002, a Management Committee of volunteers and local organisations had formed to secure grants for technology access and Centrelink services. With strong support from all government levels, funding from NSW and the Commonwealth allowed the purchase of a permanent building.

The Centre officially opened in May 2003, offering community training through ACE, Telstra agency services, and Centrelink access. Since then, it has remained a not-for-profit hub improving education, technology, and connection in Bowraville.
